The Growing Tree Child Development Center realizes and appreciates the fact that a child’s parents are their primary caregivers. As teachers we make ourselves available to allow working parents the confidence they need to know that their child’s health and safety needs are being met as well as their educational needs. Our home-like environment is designed to protect children’s health and safety at all times, allowing for physical movement, sensory stimulation, fresh air, rest and nourishment. Our teachers and families work together in planning methods to effectively communicate and assess children’s development throughout their time with us. Through our daily interactions we demonstrate our knowledge of the children we teach and their families. We are sure to respond to children’s interests and needs by extending or adjusting their experiences throughout the day. Our space is arranged and our materials are chosen to stimulate exploration, experimentation, discovery and conceptual learning in all content and developmental domains.
